As we expand our team, we are seeking a skilled and compassionate Sleep Technologist to join our dynamic team.Job Description: As a Sleep Technologist at our sleep centre in Hamilton, you will play a critical role in the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders. You will work closely with patients to conduct comprehensive sleep studies and help healthcare professionals make informed decisions about patient care.Responsibilities:

Prepare and educate patients for sleep studies, explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort
Set up and monitor polysomnography (PSG) equipment during sleep studies
Monitor and record vital signs, sleep stages, and other physiological data
Recognise and troubleshoot any technical issues with monitoring equipment
Maintain accurate and detailed records of sleep study data
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to analyse sleep study results
Provide support and guidance to patients experiencing sleep disorders
Assist in patient follow-up and treatment plan adjustments as necessary

Essential Skills/Requirements:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Competent organisation and time management skills, including the ability to prioritise, plan, and organise own work
Strong computer literacy skills
Good troubleshooting/problem solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team
Compassion and empathy for patients with sleep-related issues
Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
Strong knowledge of sleep disorders, treatment options, and diagnostic tools
Experience in a Sleep Centre or Clinic is desirable
Willingness towards ongoing development of skills and knowledge
