Dr Calvin Sidhu
Dr Calvin Sidhu is a Respiratory and Sleep Physician who subspecialises in Interventional Pulmonology. He obtained his Bachelor of Medicine from the University of Newcastle (Australia) and completed his Respiratory and Sleep Training in Melbourne, Victoria (Barwon Health, Eastern Health and Monash Health).
He has completed renowned clinical fellowships in Interventional Bronchoscopy and Pleural Medicine in Perth, Western Australia (Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital). He can perform basic bronchoscopy (respiratory endoscopy) and advanced bronchoscopy procedures such as endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS), rigid bronchoscopy, cryobiopsy and endobronchial valves, in addition to pleural procedures.
His primary interest is in the management of thoracic malignancies but he has also been trained in airway diseases (asthma, emphysema, bronchiectasis) and can manage all general respiratory and sleep conditions e.g. interstitial lung disease, sleep-disordered breathing. He has a number of interventional pulmonology publications and is currently undertaking a Doctor of Philosophy in interventional pulmonology. He is a member of the ANZ Thoracic Society and the World Association of Bronchology & Interventional Pulmonology. He currently holds a staff specialist position at Western Health (Footscray & Sunshine Hospitals).
